  • To set a focus on each individual guest’s specific concerns, we always recommend appointment schedules to render best detailed outcomes. Managing specific requirements and followed by a review. Regular maintenance is then recommended at home with purposeful and prescriptive homecare as well as supplementing with in-clinic professional grade treatments to get you the skin you want.

Safe throughout pregnancy with respect for overall comfort, result and best practice

No precare is required but prior use of a regular skin care routine will always render the best outcomes.

You may want to have a facial up to once a week. For most people, they will have a facial monthly, dependant on your skin care goals, managing specific requirements and having consideration for lifestyle and budget.

Skin cells replace themselves approximately once every 30 days, but this cycle lengthens as we age. This makes it more important that your facials actually deliver results.

If your facial included a peel, wait 7-10days before exfoliating again to allow continuation of clean, clear, pure and decongested skin.

Your skin has been corrected to a beautiful pH, be mindful of the change it will create with any heavy exercise afterward on the day. If lifestyle permits, leave your skin to draw in all the nutrient rich product we have enveloped your face in until the next cleanse in the morning.

  • The Pro Dermal Planning Series puts a focus on instant results, building resilience in the skin and enabling long term health and integrity of the skin. Every skin type is considered with a protective mix of exfoliation and infusion. Gentle but thorough.

Pro Dermal Planning Peels and Infusions are specific to your skincare concerns and completed with customised corrective alginate masks, serums, hydrators and protection. Capable of treating multiple concerns at once and personalised for your skin each visit.

Safe throughout pregnancy with respect for overall comfort, result and best practise.

No precare is required but prior use of a regular skin care routine will always render the best outcomes.

Some peels may, rarely, induce mild shedding; this will be discussed prior to application.

Be kind to your skin afterward for approximately 5-7 days, or until any response has subsided. Use a gentle cleanser AM and PM, along with a hydrator. As always, you should avoid direct sunlight, and wear a physical SPF sunblock (we recommend O Cosmedics Mineral Pro Spf30+) and hat whenever outdoors.

  • If you are serious about preventing and reversing the signs of ageing, improving the texture of scarring and reducing the appearance of hyper and hypo pigmentation, melasma and redness, this treatment is for you!

Some contraindications and considerations to be aware of - Some medications (including oral Vitamin A, warfarin, antibiotics, blood-thinners and long-term aspirin use) active cold sores in the treatment area. Inability to take downtime – although very minimal flushing up to 24-48hrs post.

If you are prone to recurrent cold sores, we recommend using an over-the-counter prophylactic pre-treatment to reduce the risk of breakout.

Pregnancy offers more discomfort throughout treatment. At times we advise against having the Dermapen4 protocol as another treatment may be better suited. Consideration of your skin health and ability to be prepped prior to the day can influence this.

A regular skin care routine will always render the best outcomes. It is advisable to consult your therapist when booking if you are unsure. It may mean we suggest a more purposeful homecare prescription for a minimal amount of time prior to initiate greater results overall.

Prior use of a regular skin care routine that includes tyrosinase inhibitors (Vitamin C, Vitamin B or Niacinamide and Vitamin A or other forms of Retinol) will ensure the best outcomes.

We will not say it does not hurt, more discomfort rather than pain, but we will say it’s worth it! It can feel uncomfortable in some areas of the face (forehead, top lip, bridge of the nose). The skin will flush and feel warm afterward.

Tiny channels are created with the Dermapen, facilitating penetration of active skincare into the deeper layers of the dermis. This encourages the skin’s immune response to break down old, damaged proteins in the skin. Naturally, your body will start to regenerate and continue working below the surface supporting healthy cell replication and tissue renewal. New collagen and elastin fibres are formed, blood supply is enhanced, and new skin cells are regenerated. It usually takes up to six weeks before any visible signs of repair are seen, and this will continue over the following months.

After your Dermapen treatment, only make use of the Post Care Rejuvenation Kit supplied – this will include everything you need for ideal care of your skin over the next 5 days as a minimum. This will keep cells supremely calm and hydrated as they revitalise. The copper, zinc and b5 content will calm your skin and accelerate healing.

Ordinary skincare at the depth it will reach after your treatment will cause complications so following your therapists advice is absolutely imperative. This is not the time to try something new. Even seemingly natural products can cause serious issues after Dermapen.

Do not use ordinary makeup under any circumstances. You may use the Dp Dermaceauticals Cover Recover Treatment Foundation (provided in your kit), alternatively O Cosmedics 1Skin Treatment Foundation after the first 24hrs.

No Exfoliating for 7 -10days. No saunas, spas, swimming pools, hot baths or excessively hot showers.  Not the time to lay on the beach or go for a long walk in the sun or a day spent in the garden. Increase sun protection awareness with regular application of O Cosmedics Mineral Pro Spf, wear a hat and sunglasses and generally be aware of direct exposure to the treatment site.

It is not excessive to expect 1-3 days of a mild flushed appearance, very rarely swelling and generalised sensitivity. A dry, flaky appearance may occur for two to five days post-treatment.

  • It is essential that you follow aftercare instructions after your tattoo session.

Using a cotton tip, apply of a very small amount of the provided aftercare balm to brows (the size of a grain of rice for both brows). This is to add a small amount of moisture and a protection from bacteria – brows should not appear greasy, glossy or shiny, if they do, you have used too much. Be mindful to do this 3-4 times daily but do not use aggressive movement or manipulation of the skin- be gentle, they need to heal. Make sure your hands are clean before touching your brows.

To avoid build-up of blood/lymph on the area gently press or pat the area with a very small amount of sterile water on a cotton tip or cotton pad, just barely damp, NOT wet. Be extra careful not to rub the brows hard, tug or scrub the brows.

Do not wash or expose to heavy steam for an absolute minimum of 4-5 days.

Thereafter, gently clean the brow area with a damp cotton pad, you may use sterile water or Dp Dermaceauticals Clini-Prep Spray.

Your brows may feel tight or dry, apply a thin layer of aftercare balm after cleansing.

Wash surrounding skin CAREFULLY with a clean washcloth each time or cleansing wipes, avoid brow area.

The following must be avoided for 7-10 days post-tattooing procedure:

    • Allowing any water to touch the brows without aftercare balm providing a slight barirer!

    • Sweating, exercising, hot yoga, sports

    • Swimming

    • Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi

    • Sun tanning or salon tanning

    • Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic Acid on the face or neck

    • Picking, peeling, or scratching of the brow area. You will cause scarring of the area or removal of the pigment if you pick or peel scabs prematurely.

    • Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or basement cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris – now is not the time!

    • Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds.

    • Driving in open air vehicles such as boats or motorcycles or riding a bike.

    • Touching of the eyebrow area except for when rinsing and applying the post-care with a cotton tip and freshly washed hands.

    • Do not use any cleansers or facial products of any kind, over the brow area for at least 7 days.

Please NOTE: Itching and flaking may appear during the first seven days post-cosmetic brow tattoo procedures. However, following these after-care instructions, these symptoms may quickly disappear. Touch-ups and/or correction of the shape-design is recommended only after 4-6 weeks.

After your tattooing session your eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle.

Initially, the pigment will appear very sharp and dark. This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin and has not yet settled in completely. The density of the pigment will soften gradually. Do not be alarmed if you see some pigment when patting or pressing with the cotton tip, as this is excess pigment and/or body fluid that is naturally exiting your skin. Your brows can swell and appear larger also so we do advise for approximately 30% softening in colour depth and size if swelling has occurred.

Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like flakes or dry skin. This might give you the impression that the pigment is fading too quickly, however, this is just superficial colour and dry skin being naturally expelled from your eyebrows.

After approximately 10 days your brows may look as though the pigment has completely faded – do not panic –trust the process.

Consequently, throughout days 14-21 your brows can look a patchy or uneven, but the pigment will start to “reappear” or “resurface” as it settles and the healing continues. You may get your touch-up/perfecting procedure done at the 4-8 week point.

Once completely healed increase sun protection awareness with regular reapplication of O Cosmedics Mineral Pro Spf, wear a hat and sunglasses and generally be aware of direct exposure to the treatment site. Sun exposure can cause the colour pigment to fade quicker.

  • Being mindful of aftercare advice for the first 24hrs stops the cycle of inflammation & potential ingrown hairs. Pop on a fresh shirt or undergarments directly after, particularly if this is your first wax. Avoid picking, scratching and touching the skin straight after treatment. Use freshly laundered towels at home.

Use a gentle cleanser AM and PM, along with a hydrator such as O Cosmedics Medi-Soothe Lotion to calm and repair post waxing for 1-2 days or until skin settles. Ideally hydrating daily will minimise a build-up of cells over the weeks between your waxing sessions and lesson the likelihood of ingrown hairs. You may find a gentle exfoliation is required after a few weeks at different times of the year if you have a particularly heavy growth or as the regrowth softens and becomes finer in structure.

As always, you should avoid prolonged direct sun exposure initially, and wear a physical SPF sunblock (we recommend O Cosmedics Mineral Pro Spf30+) and hat whenever outdoors.

    ·         Avoid any resurfacing skincare - vitamin A or AHA’s for 24-48hrs. Any laser or chemical treatments or peels. Including abrasive exfoliation methods for up to 3 days post treatment.

    ·         Avoid excessive heat, sweating, exercising, hot yoga, sports, swimming, hot sauna, hot baths, or Jacuzzi for 24hr- 48hrs.

    ·         Avoid spray tanning for 24hrs

    ·         Be mindful of performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris or chemicals – the first 24-48hrs is not the time!

  • Never pick, pull or bite. This will likely cause the gel to be forcefully removed from the natural nail, bringing with it layers of nail... ultimately resulting in weakened or damaged nails. Removal should be done by a qualified therapist who has been trained on how to safety remove gel nails without causing damage - Safely removing the gel or shellac polish without damaging the natural nail plate is imperative for long term care.

Protect your Nails. If you are an avid gardener or cleaning around the house, wearing gloves can protect your nails from dehydrating detergents and harmful bleaches; therefore, enabling longer lasting wear and shine.

Keep regular appointments. Nails grow quickly, and after only a week or two you will begin to notice some significant regrowth. It is recommended that you have an appointment every 2 to 3 weeks - to help maintain cuticle health and to have the product removed and/or reapplied safely.

  • Eyelash and Brow Tints

    · Ideally, keep lashes dry for at least 12hrs.

    · Avoid putting your contact lenses back in for the rest of the day

    · Do not apply make-up for 12hrs or receive any other eye treatments for at least 24 hours after your treatment.

    · Oil base make up remover can cause the tint to fade faster

    · Direct sun exposure/UV can cause the tint to fade faster.

    · Effects will start to diminish within 4-6 weeks

    · No swimming/saunas for 24 hours

    · Brow tinting can be performed again after 2-4 weeks depending on aftercare/lifestyle and the rate of growth of hairs. Eyelash tint is recommended between 4-6wks.

    LASH LIFT | LASH EXTENSIONS

    · Avoid moisture or steam from showers, sauna or even in the kitchen for the first 24 hours.

    · Avoid exposure to shampoos, cleansers, eye cream or serums in the first 24hrs.

    · Do not rub the lashes or eyes excessively.

    · Do not wear mascara, oil-based eyeliners, creams or lotions or strip lashes on lashes that have been lifted in the first 24hrs and avoid for lash extensions throughout.

    · Cleanse your lashes with an oil free cleanser ( O Cosmedics Gentle Antioxidant Cleanser) daily after the first 30-36 hours.

    · Brush daily with the disposable spooly provided at the conclusion of your treatment.

    · Avoid sleeping on face.

Eyelash extensions shed with the natural eyelash growth cycle, which is 3-6 weeks or sometimes longer. Around the 2-3 week mark you will start to notice gaps and at this time it is best to infill the lashes to keep them looking full.

Ultimately, retention will be dependant on your eyelash growth cycle, aftercare, application and lifestyle. On average, we lose between 2-5 natural lashes per day. This means you can expect to lose up to 21 natural lashes in 7 days and up to 63 natural lashes will have fallen in 21 days.

  • IMPORTANT PREPARATION AND HOME CARE FOR TAN APPLICATION

    · If you wax or shave, please do so at least 24hrs prior to your tan application and apply a good quality hydrating moisturiser afterwards (remembering to wash this off before your tan appointment the next day).

    · Use a loofah or mitt or scrub to thoroughly exfoliate the skin prior to your tan appointment, pay particular attention to areas prone to dryness like elbows, knees, ankles and don't forget your face! (Complete this in the shower you have on the day of your appointment or no earlier than the day before).

    · Avoid moisturiser, lotions or body scrubs that leave an oily residue on the day of your appointment. These will act as an inhibitor to the tan and negatively affect absorption and result.

    · For most comfort bring dark and loose clothing to wear after your tan to avoid staining light clothing, and to feel most comfortable throughout development time. A strapless bra or no bra is recommended to protect rubbing in the shoulder area, especially if you are wearing a strapless dress for an event.

    · Last thing before your appointment, if you can avoid it I recommend not to apply deodorant on the day, if you can’t avoid this, hot towels or cleansing wipes are provided.

    · Do not be concerned if the tan looks patchy after application, this is simply the bronzing formula in the tan which allows your therapist to ensure thorough application. This will wash off when you shower, leaving an even tan.

    · Leave the tan on for 4-8 hours to develop before showering, or overnight for the deepest, longest lasting colour.

    · Remember to sleep on dark sheets to avoid staining bedding.

    · Moisturise daily to preserve the tan for the longest time.

    · Exfoliate only when you are ready to remove the tan.
